As compressors provide you the air to breathe in enclosed area’s where the quality of the environmental air is unknown or very poor, it is important that the air compressed in the SCBA-cylinders is from outstanding quality, since it is the only thing you can rely on in those spaces. Therefore, regular inspections of the compressor, its filters and filling hoses are crucial, as well as a periodical (yearly) test of the Air Purity.
Air Compressor and Air Analysis
During those inspections all the necessary items on the manufacturers checklist are thoroughly inspected, to be able to get the highest quality of air as possible, such as:
- Inspection & if necessary
- replacement of the intake air filter
- Inspection & if necessary replacement of the purity (triplex) filter
- Inspection of filling adapters
- Testing of the air purity for level of CO, CO2, H2O and Oil.
